THREE STEPS
How to trim audio online with Vauderter
- Choose an audio file from your computer or mobile device.
- Drag the waveform handles—or enter exact times—to select the section you want.
- Add optional fades, select an output format, forge the file and download it.
Extract audio from a video
Load a supported video file and Vauderter switches to extraction mode. Choose the desired audio format and download the first readable audio track. Processing speed depends on the file and your device.
Audio editing without an account
Vauderter uses browser audio APIs and a local FFmpeg WebAssembly runtime. Files are selected from your device and processed in the browser session rather than being stored in an H2BT account.
When this tool is useful
Use Vauderter to remove silence, cut a podcast excerpt, create a short sound effect, add clean fades, prepare a ringtone-sized clip, change an audio container or retrieve audio from your own video.
Vauderter questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Vauderter runs in a modern browser. Some large conversions may take longer because your device performs the work.
Can Vauderter open video files?
Yes. When a supported video is selected, the editor offers audio-track extraction instead of the normal audio conversion controls.
Will trimming reduce quality?
Some output formats require re-encoding. Choose a lossless format such as WAV when preserving decoded audio quality matters more than file size.
